Use Safari and a link

If Paste does nothing, long-press the field and choose Paste. iOS often blocks clipboard reads.

From the TikTok app to a saved file

iPhone can save a TikTok without installing anything from us. You need the TikTok app or a TikTok page you can open, plus Safari or another browser that can reach this site. The lookup is the same one the home page uses. It may return a standard MP4, a separate HD MP4, a separate watermarked MP4, and music. Buttons appear only for those that arrive. A photo post may return stills instead. Nothing in that list is guaranteed for a given link.

  1. In TikTok, open a post anyone can watch. Tap Share, then Copy link. Avoid copying only the caption.
  2. Switch to Safari and open TikTokDownload.io, or stay on this page if you already have it. Tap the field. If the Paste button reports that the clipboard was blocked, long-press the field and use the system Paste command. That is normal on iOS.
  3. Tap Show files. When the card appears, tap the button for the file you want. The browser tries a direct save first.
  4. If iOS starts playing the video instead of storing it, use the share sheet in the player and choose Save video, or Save to Files, depending on what that sheet offers. Photo stills may land in Files or in the browser’s download list rather than the Photos app.
  5. If the direct save is blocked, the button falls back to this site’s download proxy. You should see the save start. If the signed link has gone stale, run the lookup again. Old buttons are not kept alive forever.

What not to expect on a phone

This site will not install a profile, change your ringtone, or drop a file into the Photos library by itself. Ringtone steps, after you already have an MP3, are on the ringtone page and still depend on Apple’s settings. The MP3 itself exists only when the lookup returns audio, which you can also request from the MP3 page.

There is no iPhone build beside the Android APK. That package is a sideload for Android phones. It does not install on iOS, and the browser extension zip on the same page is for a desktop Chromium browser, not for Safari on a phone. Desktop steps live on the PC page. Android browser steps are separate again.

Stories are the exception to the video box. They need a username on the stories page. Pasting @name into the video field will be rejected, because that field wants a TikTok URL. A profile link is not a substitute for the video’s own Share link.

When Safari shows an error

Read the sentence on the page before you retry ten times. “Not a TikTok address” means the text is not a tiktok.com, vm.tiktok.com, or vt.tiktok.com link. “Not available” usually means private, deleted, or hidden in a region. “Too many requests” means wait. A result with only some buttons means the other files were not in the response. The not-working page lists those cases without asking you to install a second downloader.

A clean MP4 is explained on the no-watermark page, HD on the HD page, and slideshows on the photos page. None of them add a file the lookup did not send. For rights, start with is it legal rather than assuming a link is free to repost.
