The extension only opens this site with the link filled in. It does not add files.

Save from the desktop browser

A computer does not need a store app. Copy the link from TikTok in any browser, or from the Share menu in the TikTok app if you are sending it to yourself. Paste it into the box. The request accepts tiktok.com links, including www, m, vm, vt, and t hosts. Other websites are rejected on purpose. The answer is a small set of file URLs: play, HD, watermarked, and music, each only when the source included it, plus image URLs when the post is a slideshow.

  1. Copy a video link. Check that it opens in a private window or another browser without you being logged in. If it does not, this tool cannot see it either.
  2. Paste with the button or with Ctrl+V or Command+V. Submit.
  3. Click the file you want. The browser should download it. If a CDN host blocks the page’s direct fetch, the click continues through the site’s proxy, which only streams hosts the lookup already returned.
  4. If both a standard MP4 and an HD file are listed, they are different. Prefer the standard file when a player complains about the HD one. There is no 4K rendition to switch to.

Optional extension

The Android page also offers a zip for desktop Chromium browsers. It is not in a browser store. Unzip it, open the browser’s extensions page, turn on developer mode, and load the unzipped folder. On a TikTok video tab, the icon can open TikTokDownload.io with that page’s link already in the field. You still confirm the lookup here. The extension does not download a profile, remove a watermark by itself, or bypass a private account.

Phones do not use that zip. Android Chrome steps and the separate sideload APK are on the Android browser page. iPhone stays in Safari, as the iPhone guide explains. There is no Windows installer and no Mac App Store build.

Which page to open next

Use this box for a normal video. Use MP3 when you want the audio button first, and the ringtone page only after that file exists. You set the ringtone on the phone, not on the PC. Slideshow stills are explained on photos. The meaning of the clean MP4 label is on no watermark, and the extra video file on HD. Current stories need a username on stories, not a video URL.

Desktop browsers make it easier to notice a partial result: a card with two buttons is not a broken card. The absent buttons were empty fields. Errors are different, and the wording is specific. The not-working page matches those sentences to a next step. The FAQ covers storage, rate limits, and features this site does not have.

A file on your disk is still someone else’s clip unless you hold the rights. Read is it legal before you upload it to another platform.
